The three above — decimal 2.50, fractional 3/2, American +150 — are three ways of expressing the same odds. On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team A wins the total return is ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit plus ৳1,000 stake back). If Team A loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Odds on the favourite are generally lower. Say Team B has decimal odds of 1.80 (fractional 4/5, American -125). A minus American odds figure means you need to stake that amount to win ৳100; here a ৳125 bet returns ৳100 profit. On a ৳1,000 bet the total return is ৳1,800 (profit ৳800).
Multi bet example: If three separate selections have odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.70, the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.70 = 3.57 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳357 — but all three selections must be correct. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.

Odds shift when a wicket falls — the real appeal of live betting
Live or in-play betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. This works particularly well in cricket, because the picture can change quickly with every over and every wicket, and the odds update accordingly.
Example: If Team A gets off to a strong start in the powerplay, their odds of winning will shorten (meaning they become the favourite). When a wicket falls or a big over is bowled, the odds shift again.
